Japanese Studies

The Japan Foundation, Sydney supports Japanese studies at a tertiary level and facilitates intellectual exchange between Japanese and Australian scholars through grant programs, fellowships, lectures and public speaking opportunities. We keep local scholars of Japan informed about news and opportunities in our Projects & News page. We also showcase the work of emerging local researchers in our open-access, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal, New Voices in Japanese Studies, and have been working to produce an online resources hub for scholars as research and teaching increasingly moves online.
