Famous Places in Japan II

Students complete a map worksheet and/or a cultural information worksheet as they learn about famous cities and places in Japan.

Suggested Preparation: Learn about the different regions of Japan using “Kids Web Japan” ( http://web-japan.org/kidsweb/explore/regions/index.html

The teacher introduces famous places in Japan using the picture cards. The teacher may use the cultural information cards below to give a brief explanation of the places. The students fill in the names of the places on their worksheet based on the descriptions the teacher gives.

OR

The students may wish to complete the activity in pairs. One student gives the cultural information and the other student fills in the names.
