Japanese in Action Course

Japanese in Action is a beginner’s short course which allows students to learn Japanese while exploring a particular topic of focus. The course consists of 4 weeks x 2-hour lessons.

Term 1: Moji in Action Course

Delve into the exciting world of Japanese scripts!

Moji refers to “writing scripts” in Japanese and is categorised into three different types: hiragana, katakana and kanji.

This course takes a fun approach to learning Japanese scripts and will help you become familiar with Japanese sounds and practice proper pronunciation. You will have the opportunity to write Japanese scripts.

Suitable for students with some experience and those who intend to start learning Japanese.

Course content

・Japanese sounds and writing system
・Onomatopoeia ~richness of Japanese~
Emoji (emoticons)
・Kanji for your name

Note: Students of this course will become eligible to join the culture-focused Mizuhiki Workshop: A gift from the heart on Saturday, April 21. The workshop is free participants will be asked to cover materials costs.

Two sets of dates are available for Moji in Action.

Option 1: February 10, 17, 24 and March 3
Option 2: March 17, 24 and April 7, 14

Min: 7 / Max: 14 participants

* In the case where enrolments do not reach the minimum number of 7 people, the class may be cancelled.
