Elementary 1 (A2-1)

This is a one year course consisting of 4 terms of 10 weeks.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Handle short social exchanges on topics pertinent to one’s everyday life.
  • Use a series of simple phrases and sentences to talk about one’s family, living conditions, educational background and present/recent job.
  • Find specific, predictable information in simple, everyday material such as advertisements.
  • Write about things that one did, places one went to on a particular day in a series of simple phrases and sentences.

Term 4

In Term 4 of the Elementary 1 course, we aim to cover Lessons 15 to 18 of “Marugoto: Japanese Language and Culture (Elementary 1, A2)”.

Topic: “Staying healthy” and “Celebration”

We also offer a Mid-Year Elementary 1 Course.

Course fee

First-time enrolment for new applicants:

  • $320 per term (non-member)
  • $300 per term (JPF member)

Course fee does not include textbooks.
