J-Course (Japanese Language Courses)

Coronavirus and J-Course Attendance Information

The Japan Foundation, Sydney is currently following advice from the NSW Ministry of Health in relation to the virus COVID-19 (previously known as 2019-nCoV). We will update this page regularly, but please check for the most current information.

How do I determine if I should attend my J-Course class?

The NSW Ministry of Health is now recommending that any students who have travelled to, or transited through, mainland China, should stay at home and isolate yourself for 14 days from the date you arrived in Australia, as the coronavirus incubation period can be as long as two weeks. Students who returned to Australia more than 14 days ago and have shown no symptoms are welcome to return to their classes.

You may wish to wear a mask as a precaution. Hand sanitiser is available at the reception desk for those who wish to use it.

Please follow NSW Ministry of Health’s instructions at the following link

Our language courses offer you the opportunity to develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing competency through class interaction plus active participation in tasks. All of our language courses are conducted mainly in Japanese and are based on the JF Standard, which caters to every level of learning.
