NVJS is a peer-reviewed, open-access online journal established in 2006 and published by The Japan Foundation, Sydney. NVJS specialises in publishing humanities and social sciences research by emerging scholars with ties to Australia and New Zealand.

Trans Asian Photography Review (TAP)

TAP is a peer-reviewed, open-access online journal established in 2010 as a platform for English-language writing on contemporary and historical Asian photography by scholars from diverse backgrounds and fields. It is published by Hampshire College in association with Michigan Publishing.

This list is a Google document that was initially compiled by Dr Allison Alexy and Jordan Cleland of the University of Michigan, with further additions crowdsourced from the anglophone academic community via Twitter. The list includes a number of titles by Australian scholars.
