How Japanese heritage language has been maintained and developed

社会言語学・日本語教育がご専門の三宅先生が、社会変化の中で「移動する人びと」の日本語の保持・継承がどのように行われてきたのか、特に第2世代の子ども達にとって日本語の保持・継承がどんな意味をもっているのかについて講演されます。

Kazuko Miyake is a Professor at the Department of Japanese Literature and Culture, Toyo University. Her research interests lie in the area of sociolinguistics and Japanese language education. In this seminar, she will present how Japanese heritage language has been maintained and developed, discuss the meaning of Japanese language, especially for second-generation children from families formed through international marriage.
