Artist Talk with Hiroyasu Tsuri / TWOONE

Talk Event
December 19, 2018

Berlin-based Japanese artist Hiroyasu Tsuri (also known as TWOONE) will present an intimate artist talk discussing his diverse practice. Working internationally to deliver large-scale public murals, exhibitions of his paintings, drawings, photography and sculptural mixed media works, Tsuri will share stories from his recent residency in Antwerp, painting a mural at the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands), and transforming a 100-year-old abandoned house in Longueuil-Annel (France) and many other creative projects, collaborative and self directed.

Informed by his roots in graphic design and graffiti, Tsuri’s current trajectory in fine art demonstrates his limitless compulsion to create images and commentaries on the world, and an impulse to move between mediums with new projects and ideas.

This talk event is part of the event program for Surface Tension, a free exhibition on display at The Japan Foundation Gallery from 26 November 2018 – 25 January 2019.
